Is there a difference between a travel advisor and a travel agent? A travel agent typically books hotel and air online, while a Travel Advisor, books hotel, flights and tours. At VIP, we are more of Travel Advisor/Concierge. We schedule personal meetings to discover your travel personality,then research and match you with best experiences based on your feedback. We design the experience to match your preferences and needs, choosing the accommodation and location that is a perfect fit for you and your experiences. We have strong partnerships in countries across the world that we are able to coordinate with. The whole planning process is more personal and customized to YOU. A Travel Advisor/Concierge is more invested in the entire travel experience from planning, to booking all components of travel, and making sure we exceed your travel dreams up until your return home.
I'm ready to take a trip! What happens when I contact you? How do you customize trips to make it the perfect trip for me?We have you complete a short survey prior to a personal phone call to dive deeper. We pull out the vision in your head of you enjoying your perfect trip, find out your travel personalities, likes, dislikes and seek ways to have the most magical experience. We LISTEN very closesly to what you say (and don't say), and our in-person or zoom meetings to discuss our proposed itinerary helps us read you to see what makes you most excited and provide more of that.
What if I have questions leading up to my trip? Are you available to help me?We are available Monday - Thursday from 9-3 pm leading up to your trip via email or you can set up a convient time for a phone call. Once you depart, you have our cell number and in-destination cell phone 24/7 while traveling.
What if a problem comes up before or during my trip? How are you able to help?We are available 24/7 while you are traveling, but more importantly, we partner with in-destination partners that are in the same time zone and only a phone call away!
The VIP team puts in so much work to provide customized service for each trip you plan!
