Our VIP Travel Experience team loves making sure our clients have an unforgettable experience from the moment they reach out to us all the way until they are unpacking from their incredible trip. While your travel advisor is working with you to plan every second of your dream getaway, other members of our VIP team are helping to take care of all the behind-the-scenes details so all you have to do is pack your bag and enjoy!
Two members of the VIP team, Dena and Katelyn, just celebrated their first work anniversary, and we asked them to share a little about what they do and their experience so far!
What do you like most about what you do for VIP?
Katelyn: Part of my job includes working with resorts and hotels to make sure our clients feel like a VIP from the moment they arrive! I know from my own travels how much it can elevate your trip experience, and I love when hotels work with us to deliver special notes and other surprises to our clients! I also send emails to clients ahead of their trip with destination information, travel tips, and other helpful tidbits. I hope these emails get clients excited and prepared for a fantastic trip! I often learn so much about destinations myself and I have added so many to my own bucket list!
Dena: I enjoy just about everything I do here, but I have to say my favorite task is brainstorming with my coworkers to come up with the special touches and little surprises to help give our clients that VIP experience.
What has surprised you the most about behind the scenes of VIP?
Katelyn: The amount of detail and planning that goes into every single trip! Tammy and Justin do so much more than book hotels and flights. They pour their heart and soul into planning every last detail. The amount of knowledge they have about so many destinations and the connections they have made that allow our clients to have truly one-of-a-kind experiences is truly astounding!
Dena: I was surprised to see how the tiniest detail can make or break a trip. Tammy and Justin amaze me with their attention to detail and their ability to see a potential issues before the client ever realizes there is one.
Is there anything new on your bucket list today, after learning more about it through VIP?
Katelyn: My bucket list has grown exponentially since working with VIP! After learning so much about destinations like Croatia and Africa, I cannot wait to one day explore stunning Split for myself or encounter the incredible wildlife on a private safari. I have also added so many destinations back onto my bucket list, because while I've visited places like Italy and Greece, I have not seen them the VIP way! I absolutely loved Rome, but a private Vatican tour or a VIP tour through some of the best food stops would have made my experience that much more incredible!
Dena: Oh, gosh! My bucket list grows everyday! I would say Portugal and Polignano are at the top of my list at the moment.
