Day 1: Altamura, Gravina in Puglia and Private Dining in a Cave Church
Have your private transfer pick you up to take you en route to the town of Altamura where you will stop at a DOP bread producer with an inside look at how the most traditional breads of the region are made. Conclude your visit with a tasting of the day’s freshly made bread and some incredible focaccia. Something not to be missed!! Then be whisked away to your charming accommodation in the cave. Day 2: Day 2: The calanchi area with lunch at Palazzo Margherita 
Drive to the heart of the most secret and dry Basilicata, in the clay- rich land of “calanchi.” Spend the morning exploring and getting more in-depth with history before leaving for lunch at the charming Palazzo Margherita. Then take on Madera, the city that is filled with ‘sassi’, ancient cave dwellings restored for current use as homes, shops and restaurants. This is where the Passion of Christ was filmed and as you walk around you will truly feel like you have stepped back in time.

 

Day 3: Taranto and Grottaglie
En route to central Puglia, visit Taranto, rarely visited by tourists. Rich in history with beautiful picturesque location on the Ionian Sea, Taranto is worth the visit. Then arrive in Grottaglie, the cradle of ceramics. Since Roman times pottery has been made here, experience it up close and personal with an inside look.
Day 4: Ostuni, the White Town and private Picnic among millenary Olive Giants
Visit an imposing citadel overlooking the olive plains all the way to the Adriatic on todays guided tour. Navigate the tiny winding streets of the oldest quarter, known by the Arabic term, “Casbah” which looks more Greek or eastern than the stereotypical piazzas of northern Italy. Then head to the Olive Oil Estate which is your next stop on your journey.




Day 5: Burrata, Trulli & Itria Valley  

Meet a local cheese-maker to discover more about mozzarella’s wildly indulgent cousin, burrata. This delicious cheese is one of Puglia’s most celebrated products and you'll quickly see why! Then visit the famous Trulli of Alberobello. The cone shaped dwellings are unique to the region and in the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 6: Sea Caves & Winery in Polignano a Mare
Head to a little fishermen port outside Polignano a Mare where you can experience the dramatic sea caves by boat. Enjoy a couple hours on the water and take a dip in the sea if you wish!T he town of Polignano itself is a real must-see and is home to some of the best seafood restaurants in the area. End your day at a beautiful wine estate near Polignano. You will taste the wines of this family-led winery and delve into a generous wine tasting accompanied by local food produces and the amazing stories of the owner.    

Day 7: Spend your day at Leisure
Enjoy your day at leisure at the spa or pool! Then enjoy your overnight at a country retreat in Central Puglia.

Day 8: Transfer to Baroque Lecce
Be privately escorted to your boutique hotel in Lecce where you will be in the heart of town. Experience a fascinating and detailed walking tour of history, architecture and culture rich city. From the Roman amphitheater to the noble palazzi the city is just brimming with imposing sites. 

Day 9: Puglia Longevity tour in Sternatia, a pretty village filled with Greek Nonni
Take on Sternatia, an out-of-time village where the local dialect is called "Griko," a language that is based on Ancient Greek. Accompanied by your special “Greek Nonni” you will visit this petit village famous for its ancient underground mill, which is one of the biggest in Salento! Next, explore an exclusive and publicly inaccessible Castle with its beautiful 18th-century garden while nibbling on delicious sweets prepared by a local Mamma. Day 10: Galatina and Otranto, gems of Salento
See the stunning Galatina today! Basilica di Santa Caterina d’Alessandria in where you'll see frescoes depicting biblical stories, including the life and passion of Christ and the martyrdom of Santa Caterina. Then travel to the Adriatic Coast and take a walking tour of the charming town of Otranto. See the Aragonese Castle and cathedral with its outstanding mosaic floor, as well as explore the town’s shops and soak in the outstanding panoramic views.

Day 11: Departure & Farewell
