Are you wondering which countries you can travel to now? We have been getting a lot of questions lately on when their favorite luxury travel destinations like the Amalfi coast, Hawaii, Africa, Asia and many others will be open again or which new travel destinations they can take a trip to right now. The answer to these questions is not easy. As you know the list of International destinations that Americans can safely travel to is constantly changing. Covid has drastically transformed the way we travel, with each country having their own unique requirements upon entry. That's why it is our jobs to consistently check the US Embassy for preferred airlines, destinations, and what new protocols are required so we can make your travel a seamless and stress-free process.
All of that to say there are destinations that are currently open that we can travel to right now! As of January 24, 2021 the list below are the highlighted international countries we can visit now and what that might look like in the current Covid climate.
VIP Travel Experience's Top Destinations Open To Travel
1. Caribbean
- St. Lucia: All travelers must stay at an approved hotel and must present a negative Covid test within 7 days prior to travel. When traveling back to the United States a negative Covid test must be shown 3 days prior to leaving St. Lucia.
- Jamaica: currently open to American and Canadians however if you have been in the United Kingdom within 14 days.
- Antigua: currently open to American and Canadians with restrictions.
- All travelers must have negative Covid test taken within 7 days of flight
- Complete online health form prior to travel
- All passengers will be monitored for Covid symptoms for up to 14 days
- Curfew 8pm to 5am (not applicable to resorts)
2. Costa Rica
Passengers flying to and from Costa Rica must present a negative Covid take prior to arriving in the country as well as prior to exiting the country.

3. Maldives
Entry into Maldives requires a negative Covid test no more than 72 hours before travel. There is also a required health form to complete as well as a second negative Covid test must be present prior to leaving the country.
4. Hawaii
Travelers entering Hawaii must undergo pre-testing within 72 hours prior to arriving. You also need to create an account online with Safe Travels Hawai'i account. This is where you will upload pre-trip Covid test results and prior to leaving Hawaii test results.This is a small list of destinations that are open for travel right now in our current Covid situation. And while international travel still remains complicated and ever changing we do want to emphasize that travel within the United States is open and a great way to celebrate many anniversaries, milestones, etc. right now!
